History

The French American School of Princeton opened its doors in September 2000 as an independent nonprofit institution. Its mission is to meet the educational needs of both the French speaking community in the Princeton area and the American families seeking an academically rigorous education in a challenging bilingual environment.

It started out as a preschool with five students in a church located in the heart of Princeton. Growing rapidly, the school moved into a larger church building on All Saints Rd in 2002, and a second campus was opened on Carter Rd in 2007 to accommodate more students.

Today, FASP serves students from Preschool to Middle School and is located on the magnificent site of the Princeton Center for Arts and Education (PCAE) at 75 Mapleton Rd in Princeton-Plainsboro. Situated on 47 beautifully landscaped acres adjacent to Lake Carnegie, this campus consists of seven neo-gothic buildings including a chapel, a gymnasium with a performance stage and a sports field.
